The living table

The table connects the city to the soil. For Movimento Metropolitano (MoM), Earth Day begins at this intersection. Every plate maps our bond with the land.
When we protect the origins of our food, it means we defend seeds and local territories. MoM always stands with the guardians of biodiversity and honours Indigenous practices that treat the Earth as a living system, not just an inexhaustible resource. This year, MoM carries the Earth Day 2026 global theme—Our Power, Our Planet—across our digital space. We want to reach community at a moment of heightened awareness.
As Andrea Rasca, our founder, says: “Profit only makes sense when it creates social and environmental impact”.
We choose the artisan over the industrial to heal our planet. Industrial agriculture threatens our food cultures. It slowly erases knowledge and identity. But we refuse this distance and favour, whenever possible, the local producer over the mega-corporation.
Our 33 Good Food Principles guide every meal. We support the local farmers and food artisans.
By shortening the path from field to city, we bring nature back to the metropolitan heart. Look at your table today. See the water and the soil in your food.
To protect the Earth is to protect the systems that sustain us.
